Laundry rooms are the new walk-in closet.

No more are the days of the washer and dryer in the garage, covered in dirty clothes and dust balls. Today’s laundry rooms are well manicured and well organized. Just like the walk-in closet they have been transformed to match our increased needs and new aesthetics.

A room you actually feel good to be in, these rooms are the work center of the home second only to the kitchen. And sometimes they are exactly that- next the kitchen, or upstairs, perhaps more towards the center of the home to be easily accessed by several rooms.

Many laundry rooms have become multi-purpose rooms for crafting, desk work, or in combination with mud rooms such as the space below. The clean white cabinetry hides all the soaps, bleach, mops and more, while hats and coats can be hung up to dry as you check your email.

If this room had a bed in it instead of a washer and dryer, it could pass as bedroom. Beautiful sea tones in green and blue, white cabinets and the wood floor make this laundry room a happy, cozy and colorful place .
